Draw-through Turbo set up

over the last couple of day i've been thinking about a draw-through set up on an a12.
the engine is starting to smoke alittle but i think it might just need a hone and a new set of rings. alright i have a t-25 turbo. can the turbo compress fuel without any issue or does something need to be change? also i would like to mount the turbo vertically (so i can run a down draught) is this going to make the oil or water pool up? i've heard the oil system on these turbos need gravity to circulate. where is a good place in melbourne to get the dizzy change. changed to boost retarding etc. thanks for your time

yes a t25 is a good sized turbo for a a12 there is no problem running a draw thru setup and you can run a down draft carby but not the way you want to as the turbo will pool inside all you need to do is run a 90 degree pipe instead

i see. what would be a good sized side draught then?
i only want a signle throat if i can mount the turbo my way. wanted to do it that what because i could have used the orginal air clean look.

size of the carby all depends on what boost and power your chasing and the supporting mods.... i would say dont bother with the downdraft but thats just me.. i would use a su or somthing of the likes.

Make sure that your turbo seals are suited to draw through. It's a commonly overlooked item and will result in the premature death of your turbo.

yeah supposed to run carbon seals in the turbo and apparently RX7 turbos are already carbon sealed
T25s are cheap anyway, just kill them with fuel and get another when it starts leaking too much oil

Its mentally easy but time consuming...
Lock the dissy to eliminate timing advance, run a J-pipe setup (dont have to make any manifolds), use a SU carbie as there easy to tune and your done... On a stock A12 it will be the easiest 150hp youll get... and a heap more torque than a big dollar A15 twin carb set up... I did it on an A12 and with about 14lbs boost and made 96kw atw... I did make the manifolds though but was a huge job to make them... 1st word of advice, dont over do it, keep it simple and make it work first... then try and improve on it... to many people try and make a world beater and never finish them...

thanks for all you replies
yeah to be honnest im only chasing torque. but i want to make a manifold. no point having this welding skill and not useing it. ok just acouple more questions if the exhuast manifold is steam pipe. will the heat expansion be too much to make the intake (out of ally) solid? no fleix pipe and how far will i get before the stock fuel pump isn't able to flow enough?
