how much oil to put in my stumpy gearbox?

the filler is at the top near the shifter from what i could see..

yeah on a level surface i think boxes generally hold around 3 litres give or take, more give than take.

every gearbox i have filled up has the hole half way up the side of the box (note) im running the s13 5 speed not the stumpy but i dident think it would be different ???
u might have to wait for someone running the stumpy to let u know sorry bud

the bolt is on the passenger side, its a square and a friggen bitch to do,
just use a crow bar and move the tunnel a bit and then get sum fuel hose and a funnel and yeh, thats how i done it, im pretty sure it was around 2.25ltrs

yeah I run a tube down through the shifter hole and into the side of the box. you get someone to pour it in as you watch it and you can actually slip your finger in the hole beside the tube to feel the level rather than just filling till it overflows.
I didn't think it held as much as some people are saying, I thought more like 1.5 litres.

well i brought a 2.5 bottle and used .25ml in my steerin box and the rest in the gearbox coz thats all it needs,
repco can look in there box, or google it You can view topic.
