#1 SR20DET wiring questions
SRB310 Posted on: 2008/11/18 12:19
I have loosely put the wiring around the engine bay and have a few spare connections for the engine bay. No wiring diagram so i'm not sure where or what they did. I took some pics so if any one can help, that'd be awesome.

These are from the LHS (looking from front):

These are from halfway down the RHS near A/C compressor:

These are at the very end of the RHS of the loom:

Any ideas?

I did do a search and found dazza's link to this chap PLMS developments which doesn't sound like a bad way to go. Has anyone used these or is it unnecessary? It looks like he puts fuses and relays in and basically gives you a pretty simple guide to wiring the rest in. Thoughts on this- I like the simplicity..

These are from the LHS (looking from front):
they plug into your fuse box
These are from halfway down the RHS near A/C compressor:
think one is aircon and the other could be the droping restior
These are at the very end of the RHS of the loom:
fuse box has well

do you have te fuse box ?

square plug centre pic: boost control solenoid
engine harness plugs into engine bay harness one end and plugs into body harness other end.
engine bay harness provides power feeds from relays for ECU, fuel pump, IGN,.
most other wires are for speed sensor ,A/C, ABS etc
get a diag or you will be totally lost
i did electronic engineering and i needed the diag.
its not as hard as it looks but you need as much info as you can find
if you get stuck PM me

PLMS do a great job, you end up with about 4 wires to wire in and he'll give you all the help you need to make sure it goes smoothly.

If you can justify the cash then go for it

That gives me some direction, cheers!

But no, i don't have the fuse box.. Sure I can get one if I need to. I assume if its anything like the r33 one, they are fairly big? I want to try and keep the battery in the front if possible so need the room.

Dazza, is that solenoid down on the engine and i just didn't find it? Sorry for the dumb question. I've never worked on a turbo before, only supercharger..

Daveman, thanks for that. I did email him and for me it may be worth the money. 4 wires, definitely sounds good to me. And if it gets rid of the need for more crap under the bonnet and loose wires, I might seriously consider it.

that first plug that goes to the fuse box does the
speed sensor
reverse sensor
other random sensor on box (netual maybe)
pos to turn alt on (white with red stripe)
and maybe one other thing i cant remember, i can prob have a look at mine if you want a better list,

i kept my fuse box but in insides dont resembale the stock one lol, i moved it all around to suit my requirments, i mainly kept it for the 70a alt fuse and matching wiring so i could upgrade all my headlight loom etc
