I have a Datsun 1200 GB122 (long bed) ute. The owner's manual says 9.6 gallons if I recall correctly, anyways I've never put more than 9 in it and that's with the gauge way below empty.

So what kind of fuel economy does your CA18 engine get originally in the bigger car? Expect no less once fitted to your 1200 and probably it should get better. Do you have CA18DET? CA18DE? CA18E?

hey mate i have stock tank and ca18det slight usual upgrades i get about 400 k's from a tank if i cruise it for economy never done a long haul trip with all highway or ever had a exact speedo reading as mines in miles but they get som good k's and yes stock tank ok to hook pump to but put in a 3/8 fuel pickup stock pickup will be too small, ohh and run 3/8 lines all the way to the rail.
