Decided on Taiwanese guards

Hey all,
Looking at my front guards I was going to use, I've decided to give the latest batch of taiwanese guards a try. My Nissan contact told me that the ones he saw recently were very good. They get delivered to my house this arvo, so hopefully they'll be good. It sounds like Nissan have completely offloaded all of their 1200 stock to various wreckers and it's suspected they sold from their warehouse in Melbourne. So apparently Wreckers/Dismantlers in Melbourne may have good stocks of parts. I'll have to look around. Although it's good to know most of the front parts are available through South Africa. ..still can't wait to get my datto going. Apparently the pistons still haven't made it to my rebuilder..so no engine yet. Chris.

I'm pretty sure that datwreck sell them, or can get them.........about 110
bucks each. One panel beater said that they needed a fair bit of work to get them to align 'perfectly' Michael

I think they were $89 inc GST each. My Nissan contact told me that Nissan also sell guards at $255 each, but it's possible that Nissan Australia may already be using the
Taiwanese ones, even at this high price. Chris

Yeah, Apparently Grahame was quiet impressed. All I know is that the pistons are being done in Melbourne. And that they should now be ready to be installed mid next week. The builder
wants me to come up and have a look at the engine mods. I'd like to, so that I can take some pictures. It'll be cool when it's all finished. I think I'm going for an Autronic computer, I'm looking for good cold idle control. And apparently it offers good detailed mapping. Also it's what the builder recommends. I'll wait until the car is ready to go before buying it, might be able to save some money on the purchase. Chris.

No the builder said it wasn't worth it unless I wanted 400+ HP. And was willing to part with 12 grand..I think I made the right decision and said
don't worry about it. Chris You can view topic.
