#1 Battery hassles
Tommy Posted on: 2009/2/14 7:18
Been lazy with the ute as of late, and havent had the chance to drive it for about a month and a half, just sat in the shed. It has a very very flat battery. I now need to drive it on monday, so hooked up the battery charger and it wont charge at all, the charge light doesnt come on. The chargers working as i hooked it up on another vehicle to check. Whats this mean???, May have to get jumper leads on it, so it has a bit of charge and see if that helps???, any suggestions

try jumping it, sounds like ya need a new battery though....

they get past it and there is no saving them, especially cheapies...

cheapies are good if you use the car consistantly but if you want to leave the car and come back a month plus later ya need a decent battery (as everyone finds out with their rally cars)

My charger won't charge if the battery is below 9 volts, the charger thinks the battery is faulty. Try hooking up the charger to the battery, then hook up a good battery with jumper leads to get the volts up, once the charger starts to charge you can then disconect the jumper leads. This works for me I have something draining my battery so I have been caught out a few times.
