Hey All,
Anyone out there good at opening Bonnets. Just took delivery of my newest arrival, 63/64 1200 Ute. I wanted to take a look under the bonnet but it won't open. The latch seems to be working but it just won't open up an I am a bit wary of giving it a good reef. All I wanted is to varify what motor it has "A12" or is it a "J" or something else?. I'll try and sort a photo of this beast so we can all have a good giggle!

If you look up through the grill just on the left hand side of centre, you can get a screwdriver in there to pop the mechanism pretty easy. I dont think they had to be real security conscious back when they made em.

most likely it will be a E1 or J15, these seem to be the most common.

the effort involved to make an A series fit in there is considerable.

what condition is it in?

what plans do you have for it?
