Anyone interested in forming a datsun 1200 club in austrailia?

After reading the post about contributing to the club in another post i had a thought, would anyone be intersted in forming a datsun 1200 club in austrailia? also open to everyone around the world, I thought that it would be something along the line of 'A-series austrailia' or something along those line, that so it includes all cars that came out of the factory with the A-series engine but of course can include all datsuns.
I also had a thought that if there is enough interest we could also make it CAMS approved club and organise track days and the like. A membership fee would include a merchadise pack full of goodies, like stickers, shirts stubbie holders etc. I was even thinking that a portion of the membership fees could be donated to the Branco's for the upkeep of this site and all their hard work. What are peoples opinion? and how many people would be interested? of course i'm open to suggestions.

PICK ME.
It is about time that our 1200's got a bit of national street cred.

it's a good idea but i think it maybe easier to join up with the sydney datsun club.
open to all makes of nissan/datsuns. We are already cams affiliated and and run events like you have mentioned and also have some people currently training as cams officials to help run our own events. also organising the '11 nissan datsun nationals. we currently have around 75 paid members atm. members all over australia a few near you to stevo, i can let you know of someone near you and maybe come to the next meeting with them. another good thing is that we have historic rego going for standard datto's too. have a look at the website and feel free to cantact me with any questions. Sweet! so there is a bit of interest so far.
Quote: bah stuff the 1200s. 1000's are where its at!! lol! it's open to all datos, but espeically the A-series models!!! Quote: it costed me over 450 just to start the club ( gov fee's ) What fee's would that be? did you have to register it as a non-profit organisation? Anyone else interested in joining? JOIN US!JOIN US!! We'll start a new cult! lol ![]() Edit: i'm already a member of SDC, i just thought i would put the idea out there to see if there was an interest in starting our own club as a way of raising funds to donate for this site, and so it benifits all members.

seeing as Perthute has the club up and running, why not join that and expand it.. no point in having splinter cells all over the place..
