Long or short Arm? Early or late A12? What side is the alternator on?

Can't you get one from Burson's? If a new one doesn't work, you probably purchased the wrong A12 pump. 1970-1973 may be different from 1974-up due to the A-series Engine Redesign.

Looks like a 120Y in his Avatar, so I'd assume it's a long arm one. If they gave him a 1200 one, it wouldn't reach the cam lobe. I think they moved this out to clear the distributor in it's new position.

Hi, thanks guys, Burson did have one and it worked fine. Cost me $158. I was unaware that there was two types. It was for a 120y.
