A14 not firing (elec dizzy).

My b110 is not starting, I checked the coil lead with a test light and found there was
no pulse but there was power at both + & - sides of the coil. I may have accidently connected a wire some where I shouldnt have when trying wire the coupe tacho. It's all wired normaly now but I think I damaged something!? I might go look into a new coil and resistor. what would people recommend? Is there such a thing as to much spark? Looks like not driving it to work in morning!

You sure there is no spark at the plugs?
There should be wiring diagrams in the wiki that you could use for reference.

Elec Dizzy should need 12v to the positive side of the coil, no ballast resistor.
Remove your tacho wiring, check your fuses.

it's unlikely you've damaged the coil or ballast resistor.
More likely a fuse.

All interior fuses are fine and I didn't think there was any in teh engine bay. The tacho wiring is removed. That's why I'm confused.
The test light showed power to the negetive side also that's why I think I have an issue with the coil. But no power to the plug lead plug.

That's correct. The coil has an internal wire connecting the + and - terminals. What you should do next? Carefully follow the Nissan tests. If you have the matchbox distributor, test procedure is here.

I don't have that distributor I think mine is an a12 dizzy with electronic ign in place of the I did a few test last night and have roughly narrowed it down to teh coil. Ihave ordered a new
one and will pick it up tonight. Fingers crossed! Hopefully this might help an underlying issue I have with a misfire once the car is warm. And thanks for the imput guys especially ddgonzal.

I had this issue with my e15 distributor conversion, chased it around for ages.
As it turned out, I'd wired it wrong, I put the 2 wires coming from the dizzy to the + and - on the coil.then an active to the positive side of the coil, then a earth to the - side of the coil(to the body) WRONG the - side of the coil cannot be earthed, or this will take the fire signal away from the coil, hence no spark. just check that on yours.
