Mr Hanky has the setup we are discussing in it. If box has to come out then motor has to as there aint enough room to get box out on its own. If that happens im not sure that it will be going back in. May just do the SR Convo as i know thats all good. Lesson 1. Dont wrap gearboxes in glad wrap when shipping. The box arrived with input shaft poking through and as i suspected (Now confirmed)was jammed in gear.

ive got a rebuilt R30 stumpy box, garrenteed to work in all gears

oh and mik had a million stumpy 4 speeds, none of which i will be letting him use in his car

Well thats nearing a solution Well the bit about the rebuilt R30 box. We have two stumpy boxes here one is sold with CA bellhousing fitted, other has broken sleeve that the thrust bearing slides on and a TRX 5 speed box the latter 2 unknown condition internally.
