Sumith Posted on: 2009/11/26 4:43
Hi Guys

Just found out ,my engine oil was bit milky color,so definitely water has mixed with engine oil,is there a any other way that water will come into engine except head gasket ? i drove it few days and checked whether the level of engine oil increases , but it is not so ,but radiator water level has come down a bit.

thanks
regards

Hi Guys

Yes Replaced the Head Gasket 3-4 months before only, do you mean that the head is leaking water into it ? i remember that the air cleaner also has some oil drips mixed with water, but i am sure the engine level inside the sump is not increased, except one time that water went inside

thanks
Regards
Sumith

take the head to a head repairers and see if they can find anything wrong with the head.. if they cant than make sure you buy a good quality head gasket and make sure the head when re installed is torqued up to the right tentions.

do u mean plain water or coolant with anti-corrosion? Also did u re-torque the head after about a month the last time?

Hi 1000Coupe

Water drips on to the air cleaner housing with Milky color oil drips also, i did not torque my head gasket after fitting it any more, and even not adjusted valve even because they are not noisy at all

Thanks

I wonder if your temperature gauge was working correctly? Perhaps the engine overheated.

If its blown a head gasket before its overheated. The head will be warped, even more so because its alloy. You need to machine it flat and get it crack tested. Water is either getting in through the gasket or a crack in the head.

You also definately need to tourqe the head and check valve clearnces, they might not be noisy but they could be to tight and you will burn a valve.
Then you need to look at why it blew in the fist place, possibly get your radiator cleanned.
