#1 text box scrolling issues

Mods

I find that when I am typing in a largish repsonse in a forum, that the text box does not scroll down as you type. You can use the mouse to click down using the vertical box slider, and you can locate the cursor fine, but as soon as you type, it jumps up to another location in the text box, and you cant see what you are typing.

Would just making the text box larger fix this problem?

Are you using the small quick-reply text box? Or the full text box (click the Reply button)?

this is using the full reply function, not the quick reply box at the bottom.

So I can get six full lines in the text box before the scrollbar appears. And it scrolls down as I type further.

So which web browser are you using, and what is your screen size? Do you have the browser at the maximum window size?

DD,

I have 7 text lines and then it scrolls fine, till about line 20. Then it does its funky thing.

I am running a 19" monitor set to 1280*1024
Using IE 8, with Windows XP. All required patches installed.

My last post in this thread (datsun cruise to my place)
last post did its funky thing

All the text is there, its posts fine, just that it doesent seem to scroll properly.

Seeing as I have had a few PMs about the cruise and details, ill get orgainsied and pull the finger out.

Since it ends at my house, and ill be busy getting ready, I wont be on the cruise as such.

Now for those that want to join in with some others, how about this.

Start time : 14:00hrs
Start Location : Caltex Servo, bottom of Red Hill, Cnr Toodyay Rd and Farrell Rd.

arrive approx 15:00hrs

Two easy routes
Route 1 - Route 1 - about 2 km of good gravel road
This will take you past where the bushfires went through recently.

Route 2
route 2 - thourgh town

This route will take you though town. Bitumen all the way. Can stop at Pubs on the way through for last minute supplies.

(And typing
in the middle
of the text which seems to
cause it too, doesent case it.)

If you dont want a organis3d cruise, then just come along. More details to follow.

CHeers

This was the text that did it
in IE 8
I am using Firefox this time, and it seems to be happy at this stage.

Maybe its a IE issue?

Ill keep experieenting with Firefox to see if I can get it to do it was well as IE.

Test text to try and cause the fault.

Seeing as I have had a few PMs about the cruise and details, ill get orgainsied and pull the finger out.

Since it ends at my house, and ill be busy getting ready, I wont be on the cruise as such.

Now for those that want to join in with some others, how about this.

Route 2
route 2 - thourgh town

This route will take you though town. Bitumen all the way. Can stop at Pubs on the way through for last minute supplies.

If I type this in the middle and then type some more, may be it will cauise the fualt to return. and if I keep going onto the next line, which seems like it is taking forever
then maybe it will happen, but it doesnt want to do this now. Y
