I have a five forward gearbox, but its finger tip shifting and I want to work it up on my 210 which is floor shifting. Can this be done?

Yes, you can convert the RS5W60A from a Vanette to the FS.
RS = Remote Shift (column shift) FS = Floor Shift Vanette RS5W60A ![]()

Thanks a lot, I will work on that.
So all I need to do is remove the back section from my FS and bolt it onto the back of the RS?

You can convert the remote shift to floor shift using a Pitroad Conversion Kit ( i think they don`t sell anymore).

Yes, all you need is the rear case and assorted part (output shaft, etc) from a FS 5-speed. That's all that the Pitroad kit was.
It makes sense when you have a broken FS 5-speed and so can use the part to convert an RS 5-speed.

It would be good if we could put the back of a 4 speed gearbox in a vannete gearbox and become a 5 speed fs gearbox!! wish it would be that easy!!!

I'm thinking the shifter would be able to work from 4 to 5 speed, the only thing that limits it that there's no gears for the fork shape item inside to slide over when you try to grab 5th gear? or is the 60A 5 speeds extension housing larger?
