Dellorto Carburetor DHLA , Idle slowly increses?

Hi everyone, just got the gearbox swapped out in the 1000 and reinstalled the carb. However, the car now starts idle at about 900rpm, then slowly goes up to 1500 by itself. I've adjusted the idle screw all the way up and it's still gaining RPMS.
Any idea what's going on? Attach file: dhlaadjustment2.gif (56.55 KB)![]()

Check your choke. I had a similar problem with my carb idling at 1500-2000. Turns out my choke wasn't operating correctly. Had to make a minor adjustment that the previous owner didn't know to do, and now all is well.

Choke or maybe float level/float needle valve sealing?

check for a air leak. use carb cleaner or start ya bastard and spray around where carb joins manifold. if the engine changes note or revs, youve got a leak somewhere
