1000 clutch cable is different to later ones
Cause it pulls straight up and acts on a rod type fork

4-speed to 5-speed doesn't matter.
There are two types of clutch cables for the later type: small-hole and large-hole. It depends on year(?) of the transmission that you have. •small clutch cable hole in transmission versus •large clutch cable hole in transmission See Clutch, section "RHD Clutch Cable"

if you have all the old bits still, thier are places that will make you one. i think repco used to do it.
