#1 Lowering blocks for 1990 Nissan sunny???
5UNNY8OY Posted on: 2010/3/25 9:22
Hey Guys just joined the forum and bought myself a little import Sunny ute, not up to speed with what suspension is underneath it,are they exactly the same as a datsun 1200 ute back in the 70's???,if so where the hell do I get 2 inch lowering blocks from?, I have checked with different suspension retailers but they always ask if its the same as a 1200 and im not 100% sure. Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!. Plus have heard around the traps that you can only get lowered springs for the front strut assemblies not super lows, do people get lowered springs then chop them?.Are my front struts based on a Dateun 1200? thanks again peter

hey mate welcome, well done for choosing a 1200.i would say(not 100% but)that standard 1200 blocks would fit,you can get them from your local AUTO ONE they are the only one that list them round my area anyway, reseting the rears springs are a better way to go but if you can find someone to do a resonable price.i pay 100 bucks.some want 400 pfft.i think cutting springs is fine but is touchy subject some people will tell you not to,if done properly its all good.if you get a photo up we could confirm

The 1990 1200 ute is the same as the 1970s ute.

Different from 1200 sedan/coupe/wagon. The ute has a larger rear axle assembly so it needs bigger u-bolts.
