1st 1200 ute

Hello all just bought a 1200 ute and used the site to research lots of info so thanks for that.
Still had the dirty done on me car didnt even make it home half a hour trip, before the front brakes locked on!!!!!! oh boy i hope this isnt the start of things to come. Any who some may have seen it on ebay/carsales 1980 1200 ute a14 with a stanza 5spd box and a 32/36.

im sure someone on here would have seen it mate... yeah that wouldnt be cool having the brakes lock up on ya at all how did you fix it?

haha well hate to let you know but it likely is the start of things to come, when you tinker with cars they break
in saying that though i in no way whatsoever regret buying an old modified car, keeps me busy lol.

I droped the ute off at the old mechanic we use for the wifes golf gti
they are good honest guys but cant look at it till tuesday, hopefuly its just the master cylinder.

Probably calipers need rebuild, had this problem before but not on a Datsun.

so would both calipers go at the same time?
thats why i suspected the master cylinder but as you may have guessed im not a mechanic!!!! ![]() Anywho great sight guys loving all the info

I had a similar problem on an old Subaru and I think from memory one caliper seized and the other one was getting pretty close to it.
EDIT: If in doubt put a new kit in the master aswell.

my ute did that onmce and it was just the master cylinder was worn out so i got a larger piston put in it ,and i havent had any trouble since

You should have bought my ute instead mate - you wouldn't have had any problems.
