Metal water pipe going into engine block corrosion?

Hi guys
As some of you might know, I will be doing some work to the A12 when the money is on the table. I just thought of something that might give me a problem.I might be worried about nothing but on a 30+ year old car it is a possibility. How many of you have had the water pipe on the engine corroded so badly that it needed to be fixed or repaired. My car has run antifreeze it's entire life that I know of but I am still thinking of the possibility that it can be rusted badly due to age. Can this pipe be replaced?

Yes, the pipe is easily removed by tapping with a hammer. One from a newer A-series engine can then be fitted.
I have never seen one go bad.

Antifreeze or not they seem to rust except for DD :)
Every one Ive come across has rust. Not everyone runs antifreeze I suppose through sometime of ownership.

Rust yes. But still serviceable.
