as mentioned just wondering if anyone has done this? i have machined the rotor and hub and matched them up. have a mate making up a bracket for the calipers but he was wanting to have a look or possibly a chat with someone who has already done this.his main concern being wether the caliper can mount on either side of the strut or does it have to be just the back of the strut, (where the old caliper mounts are) . and does anybody know if you can swap the steering arms on the bottom of the strut from side to side l/h-r/h.yes i have looked at the wiki but cant find what im after, thanks in advance

I have done that with 200B struts, My brackets come off the front... the old mounting ears now do nothing and are facing backwards. From memory, I used stanza Lower control arm, Stanza steering arm, 200b strut (Shortened), 200b hub, R33 Gts-t caliper and rotor. Had to machine the inside hole of the disc to fit over the hub.
It took me a while to nut out that combo.

if you want to use the standard mounting ear and make a bracket off them, you need to use an r33 gtst disc, and an r32 or 300zx caliper. otherwise the mounting ears of the caliper will hit want to occupy the same space as the strut mounting ears, if you were to use matched brakes(r32 disc and caliper etc)
you can swap struts left to right to change wether mounting ears are at the front or the back, my calipers are at the front as they dont fit at the back you say you looked at the wiki...but did you look at my strut and brake upgrade guide thats on the site?(which probably doesnt go into much detail in it but it mentions it) should really be put on the wiki but i havent got wiki creating skills one problem that apparently arrised when using 200b/stanza hubs and the skyline disc is that the disc gets very close to the balljoint if you use stanze steering arms, im using 200b ones as they have an offset hole so give more clearance, and a bit more track width balljoint tapers are slightly different though so a smacer of sorts should be idealy made up here's some pics of the finished bracket anyway aido, look here should give you the info you need

yeah pigdog looked at your photos wich where helpful, thing is i already have r32 gtr rotors and calipers and have machined the rotors out to suit the hub (and machined the hub a little aswell). would like to try and use what i have for now and try to make it work(hopefully) yes the ball joint does sit a little close to the rotor but yeah as you mentioned a spacer may be the go if it causes dramas. will let people know how i go with this when i work it out and get pictures up soon

could alway use r31 struts or something if you dont have any luck with the stanza ones. datsport do a bolt on bracket for skyline brakes onto them
how my car went with the front brakes, as in how well it stopped. well ive got r32 rear brakes on it aswell so they help, but dont think they were getting enough pressure to really do much. but yeah, with a booster and r33 mastercylinder it stopped very very well. most normal driving in traffic kinda stops you could do with your little toe and only about a half inch of pedal movement never really hammered them on as there was always something inside the car that would come flying forwards at me, and also with the brake bias needing more sorting the front would lock up if you jumped on the brakes too hard...crappy tyres and lots of static camber didnt really help either but compared to other brakes in 1200s that people reakon pull the car up well...these are a whole different ball park
