hello there! long time no post!
well im finally tackling the SU's on my 1200
im having a bit of an issue when it comes to air cleaners and velocity stacks.

here are some pictures of the clearance between the carb and the master cylinder. also, can i move the master cylinder a bit to make fitment easier?

Yes:

* Use a remote master cylinder

OR

* Use a remote filler setup from circa 1976 Datsun F10

* just use teeny air filters like this 1200

They looked like Ramflow air filters, You can still buy them new.

easy as pie use offset bottle tops from bmw or other brands.
They give you and extra 2.5 to 3 inches away from carbs.
Or as mentioned use remote fillers.
