Indicator cluster? Do you mean the front combination lamps or the cluster gauge in the dashboard?

hey mate the one with the indicator stalk etc on the steering column inside the car, will hopefully find out soon whether it is actually needed its for a mate and he's not sure what is broken with it yet..

The turn signal assembly (behind the steering wheel) is robust, I've never seen a broken one.

Most common problem is the screws might get loose. Just remove the cover and tighten them.
