that there is a late A12 ,being that the dizzy is at the rear of the motor instead of at the front ,where the alternator is in your pic

hope this helps !

so with the late model engine I'd need a fuel pump from a post 1973 model 1200?

Cheers,
Tom

Nah i dont think so.

The mechanical fuel pumps are interchangable im pretty sure.
or you could blank off the hole and use a cheap low presssure electic pump.

whats wrong with your pump? isnt it all there already? if so just connect your fuel line
and add a resistor (little white chewing gum sized ceramic box) and thats it.

The fuel pump should work fine the only differance would be the crank arm and or the bolt plate may be smaller! Hope this helps if not u can look at the wiki
<---------- on the side bar that will also help with other problem you may have! Nick

you can hunt one down from a wreckers as they usually down wear out easily.
Have you tried pulling it apart? you might be able to change arms.
