subject say it all would be willing to swap ca 18 det iine need of a rebuild. wiring loom. stub nose gearbox. new hydralic clucht kit maddat. ecelerator cable

DatsAndy is in Armidale - not that far from you, and he's got a coupe for sale, that is in good condition, stuff all rust (seriously about as good as you could possibly expect any shell of this age to be, one of the better ones I've ever laid eyes on). BUt the only hassle is that the shell itself is down near the melbourne airport where I am !!
Still, based on a couple of threads I have had a look at for your current coupe, I think this one could get you where you want to be. There's still work to be done, but it's mostly 'cleanup' not 'needs full resto urgently' stuff. It's mostly a bare shell, but it would have front suspension in it (no leaves or diff). Put it this way - if someone put a gun to your head, you could probably have it on the road in a couple of weekends work with a mate or two to help you. Work to do, but not stuff that would have you losing sleep and stressing out over.
