#1 Business name ideas
WARDY Posted on: 2011/2/19 6:10
So.. i have been toying with the idea of opening my own workshop for years now. And after a few encouraging words from friends, family, and some complete strangers lol, regarding my work i have decided to get the ball rolling.. Will only start out fairly small untill i get a workshop happening but im after some suggested business names before i get an abn number

The Shop will be performance orientated at first, eg Engine and driveline conversions, turbo installations, fuel system upgrades, brake upgrades, alluminium and stainless work, exhausts, ecu upgrades and wiring, some chassis work, rollcages blah blah.. hell i could even organise to get your car painted and trimmed, and organise wheels, and tuning! so basically a one stop shop, unlike the cities there isnt really a shop around the area that does this work, and the ones that do are way too expensive and #OOPS# at it lol..

My Car (B110) will be evolved over the time to showcase what i do.

When i get a workshop sorted ill do general repairs, servicing and rego checks aswel..

Ive called a few manufacturers already about being a dealer for some parts and they are keen.

So enter your suggestions here... the winner wins.. well nothing really but my gratitude! haha
The shop will be in wagga wagga, southern NSW, in the riverina just to give some ideas

My old man and my brother will work there occasionally, so i way maybe thinking Ward Bros Racing (Ward being our last name der) too poxy or Leb spec?

Or Riverina Performance Center, which is original, but quite a fitting name for a workshop that does performance work and general repairs.. would only really be good after i get a workshop.

so yeh go for your lives! and if anyone needs some work done pm me!

Wardy

I think they both sound pretty good, riverina performance center sounds more like a business though so it gets my vote.
Or maybe Ward Bros performance center?

Im also like Riverina Perfomance Center levey, but as you said it really sounds like a business name, not that its a bad thing but i probably wont have a workshop till the end of the year, or maybe 2012.

keep em comin

i like riverina pefromance center, and you know you can register more than 1 trading name with dept of fair trading, and use the same abn with more than one trading name.

So register now for abn and the trading names you want, make sure you set up the correct structure for the business. (company/partnership. sole trader etc).

then you can trade under one name now and add the other later to the same abn when you get a premisis.

so something like: wards performance and hot rod shoppe (or similar)
but id definately get the rierina one for later on as well.

if you go for "wards and all"... you might get a few differnet types of enquires, especailly if levey wants to get blown later.

Like unfamilia said, just have a few. The name of the business will affect the sort of business that you will get, eg. racing or performance in the name will attract people into racing and performance where as something more generic "Wardy Mechanically", "Wardy Service Centre" will probably get you more interest from people wanting servicing and other general reparis.

I like Riverina Performance Centre. I would spell it the Aussie was of "re" rather than "er". It explains what you want to do with the business while sounding mature and not too 'hectic'.
