thanks for posting those links, I had never heard about black oxide before..
would this be the "black chrome" finish they refer to on Suzuki GSXR fork legs? is this process less expensive than chrome? I like it... Cheers Ed

I think bike fork sliders are coated with titanium di-oxide or something similar..
