the WRX hairdryer is bult for 2 lt and 270-300hp..
so I would have thought a lot too big.. massive lag and would struggle to make boost at any normal rpm..

I reckon go for it for one particular setup high comp and low boost.
Just set the psi low and use high comp. Problem is if you are going draw through the Rex turbo is BBearing? that means smoke when your on boost. Theres a guy in adelaide who has a website somewhere as he imports kei cars and parts and he has an answer to using BB with drawthrough by using some kind of valves or flaps to avoid this. Hes done it with the same turbo topgear used and this guy sells them also for about 200 off the subaru liberty twin turbo. Give him a call and he should tell you what he does, he told me but I forgot. Some Honda guys are using high comp with big muther snails on low boost.

im with dundee ,too big ,wouldnt be usable without belting the motor ,easyer to go smaller turbo with low comp instead of high comp and low boost ,higher comp would give you better low down torque but then if you pick the right sied turbo ,it wouldnt lag much and would be still drivable down low
good luck

i reckon that turbo is a bit big too, i reckon a turbo off a r32/33 gtr would be small enough

Im with everyone on the too big part, ive got a k03 turbo off an audi a4 1.8 on my 1200 and it makes 11 psi at around 4500 and isnt that laggy so i spose anything is possible. Still it comes back to how much are you going to spend on developing it as too what sort of result you are going to get. It took me 8 hours from getting the idea to having the car running and it goes ok. I even used the standard exhaust manifold and just 180 degreed the pipework and used a cd stromberg carby draw through.

A single turbo of a twin turbo r33 Is great for an A12. I have one on mine until i get my other turbo fixed. Waste gate is fully open by 3500rpm (factory gate pressure of 160kpa/9psi). Makes over 100 wheel hp by 5000rpm at this low boost setting.
You dont want anything bigger than that, especially on an A10. If you dont size everything well, and tune it all properly, you will end up with a pig of a thing, that you will get quickly frustrated with. As others have posted, the GT15 would be a great option for a road going A10 that your not wanting crazy numbers from. Best of luck with the project. And keep us all updated.

biggest issue with a10 is torque, its miserable
has to be revved fiercely. I think a supercharger is a better bet and if those inferior 998cc mini A series can get 100hp atw then the A10 will surpass them with an oval head and 2 inch SU. You can view topic.
