I think there are plenty of members here that have or do use it.

I used LPG on my daily driven ute for 3 years before i retired it. A15, cam extractors and made about 90hp. Went very well! no probs with valve seat wear, easy to tune, cheap to run. Did about 90,000km`s in those three years too.

I've had mild success on a15 with LPG. Similar but different enough to propane. Working better on L16 so far

It does not use the petrol carburetor. It uses a gas mixer which you either fit over the carburetor or remove the carb and fit.

Read all about Datsun 1200 and propane/LPG with many photos at Propane.

Propane is not readily available in Australia- lpg is which is a mix.

A series LPG installs are custom jobs, not many installers would want to do it but if you go straight LPG, easier than dual fuel.

Not every servo stocks LPG- so you may need to plan your trips in advance too, making sure they stock it.

LPG can be mostly propane or a propane/butane mix. The systems and installation is the same.

This is not some weird alternative system. LPG is a common system, and was even offered by Nissan from the factory on some models. See LPG.

Dave, if you have specific questions, what are they?
