I have been looking around ebay for lights to make a template for square light inserts for my ute when i remembered that the hatchback s13 silvia had square flip up lights that looked similar to the square light of the 1200's. the lights themselves are around 7inch x 6inch (around 18cm x 15cm) and these measurements on the radiator support look around the size they should be to fit the grill. I was wondering if anyone could measure the space in the square grill for the lights or the lights themselves as this would help me be one step closer to a square light conversion.

If you are even thinking about a circle light conversion yourself, i have a 3 piece ute grill boxed up with grill and bezels. pm me for more details on that and you could be up for a swap :)

I will measure the lights in my 180SX tomorrow for you. I reckon there was an early pulsar that has the lights you are looking for and if you could find one of them at the wreckers you maybe able to get the headlight bucket area as well.

do you want to convert to square headlights?
i can talk to the guy who has the buckets, lights and grille off my sunny truck .
180 lights are the same size as sunny truck(b122).

I measured up the 180sx lights for ya.... 190mm wide by 130mm high (Note: this is the front class area so doesn't include that hidden under the metal trim ring, so overall dimensions would be a few mm above what I have quoted).
