carby tuning with a auto transmission?

hi i was wandering if your supposed to tune a carburettor with transmission in drive or park i was reading online that you must tune to highest vacuum reading with auto transmission in drive???

You need to tune it for when it's in drive.
Stalling at the lights is no fun. I don't think carby cars have an 'idle-up' (FICD ?) valve like modern cars do, so that when it's in drive, the idle is raised a couple of hundred revs. I believe you'll find that the idle is supposed to be set 150-200 rpm higher in an auto car anyway. I know from my auto 1200, that when it's cold. you have no chance of getting into reverse or drive for the first 60 seconds, unless I pull the choke right out and revs are at 1200rpm.
