#1 F/S CR14DE alloy Micra engine 70kw @ wheels

For sale is a used but needing repairs CR14DE out of a rolled 2008 Nissan Micra. It is a great candidate for a conversion. Awesome 4 valve head and VVT. The engine is complete butin pieces and only weighs 61kg from flexplate to injectors. 59kg once you remove the drive plate and one useless engine mount. The bolt pattern of the engine and doewlls match with the A series and all sorts of useful stuff. It cost me $250 but I will take $150. It needs a conrod replaced but alll the gaskets and rings and bearings are cheaper to buy genuine than aftermarket parts for a Holden 6. Thats heaps awesome value.

$150. Cheap. Use it as a dummy or repair it. I'm going in a different direction now.

No Accessories. I was going to see if I could use it as a prospect for a conversion and take it from there.

It has the water pump, crank pulley and belt. Usually on these motors there is no seperate plate to spigot the starter as there is provision in the block but my plan was to use the A series plate and modify the block as it's alloy and use all A series mounting hardware.

I'll post some pics of the stuff. It's a very cool engine. Depending on what site you look some say they put out 67kw @tw and Nissan says 72kw @tw. But either way you look at it it has a massive amount of potential with quad throttle bodies and aftermarket ECU. It has a Cam Pos Sensor in the back of the head. The Crank sensor was in the transmission with the trigger on the drive plate but that can be modified easily enough to the front.

I'll trade you the motor for Davo, he pikes it every now and then but he's still pretty reliable (as long as he doesn't drink too much).

Well Chris, is Davo the kind of bloke that would teel everyone if he woke up after a camping trip with a sore arse and a used condom hanging out his pants? If not I'll let you know if we have a deal after our first camping trip. See you soon Davo!!

I wonder if the head bolt locations are similar to the A series engine? I'm moderately interested but my increasingly cluttered shed says no.

Your shed needs to meet mime then.... I have no shed as such. It's a good buy for a long term project
