hey everyone just wondering if anyone knows if s13 camber tops will fit onto 1200 struts ?? there cheap as chips and the 3 bolts are a close fit in the 1200 tower but will the center hole be the right size or will something need to be machined up to make it work
a set is $130 on ebay ,and they look pretty sweet ,plus im running a mk11 chin spoiler now so i need epic camber then some jap wheels! cheers

also found coilover kits ,sleeves springs spanners and locking nuts for under 100 bucks ! but they are to suit a hondas ,so i might ask what the internal id of the sleeves is cos they look to be close to datsun size

S13 yes, I just lightly filed the burs on my sedans stud holes. The run 180 deg the wrong way so when set for neg camber in a 1200 that woul be the setting for max pos camber in a s13. Mounted mine so it gave some castor adjustment too.
If you want more meg camber use stanza lower ball joints too- gives you an extra deg meg camber yes piggy and I running the Honda kits, they are 51mm from memory so perfect for stanza struts etc.

yes s13 camber tops fit straight into the 3 holes, im running them but i had to get the thread sleeve modified to fit standard shock thread size as s13's run a larger shock .

the only downside is that as the 1200 strut top reaches up through the strut tower 2 inches, you would be then mounting the shocker end 2 inches lower using these (and most) adjustable tops. this means you have lost two inches of shocker travel in the bump direction. This is probably ok on a road car, but be careful if using stanza struts or you have lowered the car also... the stanza strut is 2inches longer than a 1200 strut, that combined with adjustable tops means you have lost 4 inches of bump!

Yeah stanza shocks suck lowered, 200b are good if doing Coilovers. Cut them down further for z31 shocks or similar

In running chopped king springs on 1200 struts ,whats this bump.you speak of ?
Also I just need to know if they wikl bolt to my struts ,they fit in the top.but there no good if they dont bolt to the shock haha

from mradee's post sounds like you need to mod something to suit your shock
bump is travel upward - or compressing the spring, read it as suspension travel lost with the s13 tops in your case add 2inches to how much you lowered it and that's how much less than stock suspension travel you have

Will camber tops hold the spring two inches less captive because the nut will be just above the perch instead off way above the perch?
Or do they require another perch bellow the rose joint so basicly the same but two inches bellow the strut tower instead of above the strut tower? So the bump loss is small but the height gain is sh!t. Hmmm time for adjustable sleeves... Which would result in more bump loss to keep the height down.

I remember piggy made some spacer under the tops when u used stanza inserts, the didn't sit right on the bearing. That's why used wheel nuts on the top of shocks through the pillow ball- they fit sung in pillow ball and right thread for shocks- you know those wheel nuts used on hot wires etc....
