I want to buy a GX 1200 head so i can put it into my 120Y

Does it have to be a GX head or can it be an oval port head? A H75 or H89 can be a good improvement for a mild engine. It's like putting on a ported round port head.
What are the plans?

my plans are to put SU carbs on her but she wont fit onto my stock A12 so i need a GX head for it

You can put SU carbs on a stock A12, people been doing that for years, especially in Britain.
If you want to put twin Hitachi sidedrafts, you have several choices. * Use any SU manifold like Lynx D1200 with A12 head * Use factory A12GX or A12T manifold with a GX head * Use factory A14T manifold with an A14 head
