I got the same racks, only use them if I need to. I say no to them.

i rekon roofracks look fine, makes the car purposeful instead of just being a head turner (eg the usual datsun1200). i like the pic on this site of a datsun 1000 with roofracks and a whole axle strapped to the roof..

of note: your lower bumper bar at the front, where did u get that thing ? is it a bumper bar or is it just awesome ?

I have a set, and use them when needed, but take them off at other times. I also cut an old tyre's inner tube into squares to protect the roof/seam/channel area from scratches (I also space the attaching bolts with washers, because it turns out that they will screw in far enough to bottom out on the roof panel, gouging through the paint. Might not happen on any other brand of roof racks, but worth checking). The other reason I remove them when not needed, is that they tend to 'howl' with the wind whistling over them (or maybe over the ends of the horizontal bars.)

The ones I use are more accurately 'pack racks' - they have the two bars/4 legs like yours, but they are part of a larger frame with rungs - so more stuff (and odd sizes) can be fitted. I once carried 3 big screen tvs (old CRT style, not flatscreen!) on there to take to the recycling depot.

They tend to scratch the paint in the channels, but yes I chipped the paint on passengers side and noticed a rust bubble I think

Mine did too, but they had started to perish a little bit, and taking into account the compression forces on them, both from tightening the attaching clamps, and the weight of whatver is being carried, I just added a little more for peace of mind. FWIW I usually 'lose' the pieces of inner tube and cut a few new ones (out of the remaining tube i cut the first ones out of) and just repeat as necessary.
