Probably been brought up a million times before, but I am finally ready for registration (got blue slip today) and was looking at quotes for Green slip the cheapest I could find was $950!!

Why are the prices so high, is it because of it being a Ute? Is there any other company that will recognise that i won't be using it for Ute purposes!?

Depends on age of vehicle too. It's not because it's soley a ute, but also all the other drivers and 1200 owners out there. Ctp is a joke in this nation. I don't understand why they can be allowed to make multi million dollar profits for third party injury damage.
People get hurt, people need rehab and fixing after but why should we profit from that?

Far out! well yeah its a joke, 1978 1200 i got a good driving record, never made a claim! I am 22 so age could be a factor but really $950, as a full time student that is nearly out of the question!

A sad day haha, hopefully i'll save some on insurance :S
