I am looking for an AY12 crossflow head

Does anybody know what happened to the guy in Finland that were trying to make a copy?

If I remember correctly from his thread, He quit because it was to expensive to make it or something along those lines.

I also think that the head he was going to use to remanufacture it was no longer available to him.

Unfortunately the idea of casting a unique head or engine block is quite intricate but would be safer or more successful to go for a 2 piece billet then welded up, straightened and still use what you can from an A series or other OHV engine for rocker gear.
Billet heads of this nature exist for the small block but it is after all the most popular rod engine in the world.

Guys like Jeff Taylor and Big Ernie have been perfecting the A series head for over twenty five years and the horsepower gains over stock have been phenomenal, the AY head was always going to be very expensive and needing years of development before it was going to come close to equaling the performance of a Jeff Taylor head.

Im willing to bet an ay12 will beat let alone equalling any modified a series head.but i guess will never know as they are extremely rare.Atleast ive seen s20engines come up for sale.never an ay12.This head was nissans' performance head and there is a reason it wasnt ever in any production car.it was specifically engineered and made for race by nissan.

a12grunt, I know we can't actually get one to test but there are probably hp figures out there, I would still be putting my money on a JTS head.

worked e15 makes more power than any a series and the reason why speedway peeps sell their A stuff for E series conversion.
