With much difficulty. For a start you Re going to have to build strut towers because you are going
To change from leave spring to coil overs. Then you are going to need to mont some Controll arms to the body as well as mounting the diff mounts and then you have to make sure it is all in dead straight so your car isn't driving down the road like a mud crab. If you want it for the strength then I suggest using a shortened r31 or hilux diff. If you want it for the IRS then buy a 1600

main ingredient would be a IRS rear subframe i'd say. if you really want to do it have a look at the setup MADDAT do for 1200s
involves shortening a whole S13 rear cradle with some custom arms, then lots of floor strengthening to have somewhere to bolt it in, then more floor strengthening for the struts

Thanks rb 20. I need it for strength. I might go with short r31 or hilux. Didnt realise it would be that difficult. Thanks also pigdog.

A while back I acquired a rally car that had a 180b rear grafted in. the job itself was rough (the car had rolled too, hence it eventually ending up here, it wasn't a project buildup or anything.
I have to say, given the weight of them , and the amount of stuffing around to make it fit in a coupe (and this never had to be street registered or anything, there's honestly no way I'd ever try it from scratch. There just isn't a large enough gain in handling to justify it, and it also ends up making the car heavier once you've welded in enough re-inforcements/pickups to mount it properly. If it came from the factory with one, then it wouldn't have to weigh more as they'd have designed it to suit, and there wounldn't be 'redundant' strengthening/pickup points for leaf springs. You mentioned using it for strength, I think you are going to be better off with a bw diff conversion if that is the issue, and it'll 'fit' with a bit less hassle.

the borgwarner (hence bw) diff out of - well I think guys use the skyline one for dattos to get disc brakes and the 'right' stud pattern without having to source anything else, just get one of those and shorten, then weld on appropriate brackets to mount to 1200 leaf springs sort of thing.
They are a strong diff, and are upgradeable. you can get lsd (cone type) centres or mini spool centres cheaply enough too. Guys have run sub 10s in (obviously) much heavier vl commodores with them. You can view topic.
