CrazyHawaiian Posted on: 2013/1/14 20:31
I need ideas on how to go about moving break master under dash to fit dual carbs???
I have a few ideas but just puttin it out there.Need pic's of push linkage.

and if someone has a manifold for a single DCOE that fits A14 H89 head would be even better.

there is many different height engine-side metal mounts, perhaps you can switch to another to drop the correct side of the motor

please tell us what car/year and if the motor is early or late series

plus you can buy shorter engine mount rubbers from other cars to lower one side also

Also I have the early A12 72' coupe.
can't go any lower cause of the oil pan ..so what about going up a little and to the right a bit?

How much work goes into putting master under the dash?

it is some work for under dash BM but way worthwhile and only a tad more than tilting and engine with custom mounts.

Tommoz had a good guide with pics how to do it using remote bmw fillers but I cant find the pages from his build they where very detailed.

If you move the engine over, you also need to move the transmission over. I have never heard of anyone doing it.

What not put the factory Twin Carb setup on? It fits on LHD cars.
