Can i mod either 1200 knuckles or 280zx knuckles to suit my 280zx struts into 1200

Ok i have a late model 1200 ute, i have been searching for stanza steering arms to suit my 280zx strut conversion but i cant find any, my question is... i have the 280zx steering arms, and obviously the utes got its original late model steering arms, Can i modify either of these to work, and whats involved?

Yes, you can modify the late Ute steering arms. Needs a bit of maching.
Ute arms (H74) are faster ratio than Stanza/Sunny (W50) arms. See Knuckle Arm for photos and measurements. Basically widen the bolt holes from 75mm to 80mm and machine it for the strut hole.

i get slotting the outside bolt holes to 80mm spacing, but what needs to be done to the inside taper hole for the w50 ball joint? just so i can instruct the machine shop on what to do.

Unknown. Is there any difference? Give the new ball joint to the shop so they can machine it to suit.
