fake alarm led light wireing up help

Gday
Went to jaycar yesterday and got a fake car alarm led flashing light with a red and black wire just wondering how do i wire it up to make it go off when i turn the key on and to make it flash when the cars turned off

Black Neg - wire goes to Ignition switched +12V
Red Pos + wire goes to Battery constant +12V This combination should give you flashing light when engine off, and no flash when engine started because with IGN off, IGN switched source earths through the loom and constant 12V+ provides power, so LED blinks. This worked in another car i had so mite work in the datsun, otherwise im sure you will be able to wire up a relay that switches off when fed power.
