Datsun 1200 Carburateur

Good Night
During last days i"ve being asked the following Im pretend to buy a twin carbs for my Datsun 1200 1200cc maybe a twin webber or solex 40mm. this carbs are proportional to the 1200cc engine? The 40mm means the hole that will join the mainfold hole? There are in the market more replacement material to webber that another brands? Please clarify my doubts. Many thanks on advance Luigi
