I'm not sure that THAT is a Datsun Sunny (1000, 1200, B310) diff head?

Do you specify this as a h145 as it fits a sunny or because it has a 145 crown wheel?

By looking at it, I m not convinced it is a Datsun/Hitachi unit.

crown wheel is 145mm in diameter. it fits in a sunny and 1000 ute housing. it came out of a sunny wagon i unbolted it myself.

Yes chris that is correct. Also equipped with a 5mm alloy spacer along with the required small yoke tail shaft.

it gets even stranger! you use a 2 to 2.5mm spacer when fitting a H150 centre to a H145 housing.

A H145 diff centre with a 5mm spacer makes no sense.

Do you people think I am a liar or something? I'm well aware that the diameter of the crown wheel is 145mm and that you should use a 2.5mm spacer. I never fitted the wagon with the diff. I only dismantled it. Not once have i said the diff gears or housing are genuine Datsun. When someone is selling a house do you guys dispute why they paid for it what they did or why that wall is that particular colour? So here is the diff for sale, if you are interested in it please pm me. Thanks.

No, just saying it is a strange setup.
You space a centre out when fitting a larger diametre centre to a smaller diff housing - eg H150 to H145. Datsun's smallest diff housing was the H145, which was used from B10/1000 onwards, so it's strange that it used a 5mm spacer.

I reckon this would be perfect for any Junior Sedan speedway car. I thought the H in the H145 stood for Hitachi, which supplied parts to most Japanese factories. Would love to grsb this, but have just forked out for a H190 LSD from Melbourne. What year Sunny was it out of? Was the spacer between the tailshaft & the yoke? Hope this finds a home soon. Paul
