Hey I have just purchased a Datsun 120y coupe manual, I have the original owners hand book as well and it states it's a manual car, but when I look at the compliance plate it says it is a datsun 1200 coupe auto, does anyone happen to know why this is? 8 also happen to know that the car has been registered as I fount one of the old rego stickes in the car. Any help would be muchly appreciated

So its a manual with auto plates? Its either had a conversion or a plate swap.

I was thinking this, but tye fact that it has already been registered, and what does it mean when the specs plate says it's a 120y , but the compliance plate says it's a 1200?

It indicates that one of the plates does not belong on the car
