Lightened flywheel on CA18DET?

has anyone tried their CA with and without a lightened flywheel?
i like the idea of a heavier (stock) flywheel on a turbo car for benefits of spooling and not dropping revs too much when dumping the clutch but then... stock flywheel was designed for a car 500-600kg heavier, so perhaps dropping a kilo or two would be of benefit thoughts?

Theres a lot of mixed logic about this but on the US sites where the ca flys were readily available the owners mostly say the response is better and the torque of the turbo does the rest.
Also never seen a second hand ca18det lightweight fly for sale, maybe missed some maybe not. Dumping the clutch at the start line after a quicker revving engine due to lighter fly would be tempting. Even V8 supertaxis have ridiculous lightweight flywheels sub 3kg and those things are tanks with probably the same amount of torque as a worked CA18det yet your car is only 65-70% of their weight.

I am of the view heavy flywheels benefit fuel economy over power advantage.
Lighter components increases the engine response to change (Moment of inertia - MOI). Off the line you may see an advantage with an higher MOI flywheel as this puts the engine under more "load" but once going/revving it, in my opinion, works against you by reducing the load. Have a few ports so happy to stand corrected :) You can view topic.
