handbrake tips for r31 diff in 1200 ute

Hi,
Ive recently installed my shortened r31 diff with standard r31 calipers into my 1200 ute. The only thing I have left to do is somehow configure a working handbrake so I can pass rego. Was wondering what setups people have used in the past? I have all the original handbrake gear from the skyline that a pulled the diff from. Not too keen on the maddat setup with the reversed rear calipers either. Cheers!

There is some information at BW78 Rear Axle Swap
![]() Coops pocketed the R31 pulley thing, cut the bracket off & drilled to suit the 1200 adjustment bracket.

Not a bad little set up! Ive got something similar in my head. But I'll have to mount it in a different position due to my brake line splitter being installed there. Do you know if he had to get aftermarket hand brake cables made?

Yes, he did a detailed write-up. See BW78 Rear Axle Swap and click the links to discussion and click the photos.
