Suitable ignition coil for electronic ignition?

So i'm planning to switch over to Electronic Ignition for when I swap my A12 out for my A14. I've found an electronic distributor on eBay, but I can't work out which high-energy ignition coil would be suitable.
I've had a look at the Bosch mec/hec, but I don't know if they are the way to go? If anyone could help, thanks.

Not all Electronic Ignition is high-energy, notably the Pertronix Ignitor is low energy and - according to Pertronix - requires the stock coil or a coil of similar specification. Some guys have used high-energy coils, but Pertronix won't warranty it. The just-released Pertronix Ignitor II is a high-energy ignitor.
High-energy ignitors typically use a 0.7 ohm coil. Low-energy ignitors use a 1.5 ohm coil. See EI Coil for typical brands. It lists Nissan, Bosch and MSD brands with part numbers.

To my knowledge, you remove the ballast resistor and bridge the wiring?
The PC91 does look good, but has a primary resistance of 0.45 and secondary of 3.8k. I'm guessing you just swap out the spade connectors for the circular ones in that case. Thanks DD you're always a help haha.

Yes either bridge the resistor, or remove it and wire the coil direct. But first make sure the Electronic Ignition unit you are buying is designed for an ultra low-ohm coil like 0.43 ohms. Most are rated for 0.70 ohms. The EI unit (ignitor) will last a long if using a coil with the correct (primary) resistance.
