hey guys, have a few questions, im after getting in contact with this KEV ROwley, i want to see if he still sells, engine conversion crossmember for ca18det into 1200 ute, and gearbox crossmemeber,
also wanting to get the brackets for the s13 caliper swap. also ive seen a couple of 1200 utes, with like drop tanks in the rear, just curious what people are using to get that look? is there one you can get with a built in surge tank ect? also i have a manual trans tunnel, how much extra metal do you have to add to get the ca18 5 speed to fit :) thanks in adccance

Hey mate, I haven't seen any drop tanks but it's pretty common for guys to run fuel cells in the back of the ute and some use the R31 tank behind the diff. If you're registering your car and want to change the fuel tank, speak to your engineer to make sure it meets regulations for your state. I'm running a fuel cell but have to make up a filler to the side of the car.
The main reasons I want to change is to increase capacity and to improve the fuel pump suction conditions. Otherwise the standard tank is sufficient.

Kev gave me a heap of great advice on my CA18DET conversion. He recommends using the Skyline R31 tank up where the spare wheel carrier sits. This gives you an in tank EFI pump and eliminates the need for a surge tank. You just need to weld on two pieces of RHS steel under the tray to bolt it up to....and yes it does look a bit like a drop tank.
As well as the crossmembers he is also a wiring guru so can supply you a conversion loom to if you need it. Send me a PM if you need his contact details....I'm sure I've got them somewhere.
