I know its not quite the right place to put this but it would be great if someone could right an article that included letting everyone know which engines had the forged steel bits, such as crank, rods and forged pistons, also including rod length.
I know its asking alot but there are so many rumours about these bits it is hard to tell which are true! Thanks,

just anothe question about origin, was there ever a weber dellorto manifold made for 1200's with the letters GX standing out on top of them
im thinking only standard weber/dellorto 1200 was SSS nz model, does anyone think this may be one of those manifolds?

Hmmm ... according to the forum discussion 1200 SSS, the SSS had twin 40 Dellortos on a NZ-made manifold. The manifold is still being sold!
