Hi Guys

with my Last trip i noticed my Temp Gauge Suddenly Goes about 1/4 to right side and stays back there and move back to its original position , thought it was faulty thermostat valve because it is almost 5 years old,
when looking closer i noticed it comes up and go down in a eye blink , if it is stuck valve it should not move like that suddenly fast,
what do you think is it faulty gauge or sender or just wiring issue ?

That is fairly normal. Heats up at high speed, or at idle. Cools down at middle speeds. According to Owner's Manual: Water Temperature Gauge, the engine will run "satisfactorily" in this range:



Except if the needle jumps around it is not normal. it should take a few seconds to move from one side to the other. I would guess a wiring issue causes the problem (less likely to be the gauge). Clean the wire connections and see if it fixes it

Thanks, i will check the wiring it doesn't jump at once but it moves left and right slowly which had not been ever in my car , i will check the wiring i hope it is wiring

Left and right slow movement means the engine coolant is heating up and cooling down

The thermostat will keep the temp constant EXCEPT when the radiator cannot keep up
* Fan not working at idle
* Radiator is partly plugged and so doesn't cool like a new one
* B110 radiator and the smallest of the B210 radiators are too small for the hottest days of summer, and so it is normal for some heating/cooling on these days

Going up hills, it will often heat up, then cool down when descending the hill

Test the radiator

Hi Guys

Ok i removed my lower radiator hose and put a gallon of water from top, it falls free without any hassle at once without any delay, so hope radiator is good , pulled out the thermostat valve put it on a water pot and heated it up to see ,i think it started opening a tiny but too late ,it opened a very little and then water has already stared boiling point, i think it is too late to open , what do you guys think about it ?
because it is 5 years old i think it is high time to change it ?
it is not a genuine part abut a Japanese part

* If it doesn't open until AFTER the water starts boiling, then it is defective

* It should open about 8mm within 10 degrees of the rated temperature. If the thermostat is marked 82C, then by 92C it should be fully open. This is BEFORE the water starts boiling

I am so sure it did not open about 8 mm look at this image this is just before it start boiling it open about 4mm, then it should be my thermostat valve , even after boiling water also it never reached about 8 mm

Replace it

Are you running plain water?
* Change engine water every 6 months
OR
* Change long-life engine coolant every 2 years
