Help!!!

Hi Guy's.
I need a little help or advice from you if possible.I have a mazda B1300 ute.I am busy fitting a highly modified A15 motor and gearbox in it.Unfortunately I don't have an Datto UTE body though, but anyway,I have the original diff. with 3.81 ratio.I'm currently waiting for my aluminium propshaft to come back.Do you think this diff will do the trick or do you think I should fit the A1400 ute diff.I.m planning to run a huge turbo and some nitrous.

the only way to be sure is to run it & see.seriously,it's already in the car, you've got a tailshaft coming,& it might hold up perfectly well with just the a14.i'm not sure of mazda philosophy for commercials, but japanese commercials seem to come with tough rear ends.so give it a go,is my opinion (humble or otherwise).then,if it comes apart, try for the diff from a 520 ute, these are bigger than 1200 ute,& an alloy centre.

is the 520 diff a h-190 or what?
is it wider than a h-165? same width as h-190?

the 520 diff is a h190 centre, but is the same track (or very close) as a 1200,so it will go into a 1200,but you have to redrill the axles from 6 stud to 4 stud.i'm not sure of the ratios, but it is a big axle one,so anything from a series 3 b/bird,or gazelle,or 720 ute, should fit.

is the alloy centre a lot lighter?
what ratio is the alloy centre, that is my main attraction but if i had to swap in a b/bird centre i loose that benefit

sorry michael, took a bit of time to get the info you want.the diff is a 4:11.1 ratio.it is an alloy centre.it's the same track drum to drum as a 1200.it's also the same length as a h165 diff centre.i got this info from a friend, who also told me they change the bearings from roller to normal.he also has one in his shed, but doesn't know how much it's worth.this is in sydney, the suburb is silverdale.i suppose we could always see if it'll fit in a post pack or something.
